You certainly know the story of Goldilocks, but do you know that there are a multitude of ways to tell?

Two actors and one pianist are exploring different narrative modes, including drama, amazing music and projections about improbable media (including a mirror of soap that has earned the company the price Grinder The Art and Science Workshop 2009). Which earned the company the price of Grinder's Workshop Art and Science, 2009). which earned the company the price of Grinder's Workshop Art and Sciences, 2009).

The famous tale of the curious little girl and the three bears is told ten times from the variations of the poet and novelist Jacques Jouet. Of history in alliteration in "f" or "He was once a skinny, curly girl who did not shy away from home" to the medieval tale damsel of Goldilocks that was lost in the forest .... These are ten versions of the exercise in style and bring a wealth of records and emotions, between fear and humor, poetry and letter.

To accompany each story and each scene of shadows and images, a pianist interprets one of 33 variations on a waltz by Diabelli Beethoven.

poet Jacques TOY, also a novelist, short story writer, playwright, essayist and artist, is a member of the Workroom of Potential Literature (OULIPO) since 1983. He participates in "Papuans in the head" on France Culture. It is the author of a series broadcast on the Internet: "The Republic of Mek Ouves. In 2007 he published a novel called "a bad mayor."

Company "The Grinder" was created in 1982. Throughout its evolution it has explored various ways, street theater, musical theater, puppet and even scientific.
The company is focused on building new scenic forms and the requirement of a text box. A research binder plastic (exploration of new techniques and rediscovery of forgotten techniques) to a theatrical work, it looks a match between the place of representation, the subject of the show and its shape.

Speech at the Meeting of January 26, 2011

Colleagues,

Thank you for your participation in this special session of our meeting whose sole purpose to continue the approach adopted unanimously at our meeting on 26 February 2010 a commitment to appeal to the state in order to obtain fair compensation charges transferred to the Department in recent years.

I remind you the context that led us to make this decision, as did also many colleagues in other departments, facing similar situations directly related to the weight of the individual allocations of solidarity in departmental budgets.

Interesting Wedding Favor Quotes

Alexis O'Hara: "Ellipsis" (& Records, 2010)

Alexis O'Hara is in this category of women who are able to leave a deep impression upon first meeting. I was fortunate to know her for a musical project at the last Festival de musique actuelle de Victoriaville, and those few moments, repetitions and exchanges, have only confirmed the impression I had of her initially.

I've seen Alexis play in the electronic festival Voix d'Amériques in the company of Bernard Falaise and Michael F. side. I found his contribution very interesting and found myself thinking it would be interesting to work with her. The latter is however much better known as spoken word artist and his sound installations. Whether through his igloo speakers or its slam competitions. There she released her first full length album since 2002 on the label & Records, a label of experimental music led by Michael F. Side. "Ellipsis" is a disc very pop, with catchy songs backed by a fine music sought.

Alexis is superbly accompanied throughout his album, his collaborators are varied and each add just one feature of their own. We find joy with guitarist Bernard Falaise and Michel F. Hand percussion on several tracks. But there is also the trumpeter Brian Lipson, Alexandre St-Onge on bass, percussionist Stefan Schneider Bell Orchestre, Radwan Moumneh and Sophie Trudeau of Godspeed violin. This is one of the album I listened to most often last year because of its catchy pop, but experimental. Alexis O'Hara offers a trilingual work, where an alternate English poetry with shades highly controlled, prose in French and English naive approximation. But this does not diminish the charm, however. But the pieces are in English, in my opinion, the most successful.

You should have seen Alexis at its launch, it played the card of naivety, inexperience, funny and goofy. The charm worked easily on the public here tonight. His album is a bit more content but it all without his dry humor and self-derisive, at least he is not put forward as many as on stage.

There are many good pieces on the disc and from half of the disc are linked to it apace. The highlights are the song "Butterfingers", with its bass riff vaguely reminiscent of the song by Mark Lanegan and Kurt Cobain "My Girl" . "Walk Jelly" is simply superb, the trumpet and bass Lipson St-Onge is played softly, the tone of voice is sour O'Hara, velvety, worthy of a smoky jazz lounge. One of the best parts of the album, floundering in a free bass and trumpet melody, an easy reference is the amalgam of jazz and improvised song that is "As the radio" Brigitte Fontaine. The rhythmic play of Michael F. Quoted on "Detached Love Song" is so magical causing it makes us want to sing. Like I said earlier, this disc is full of pearls.

It is interesting to note how Alexis O'Hara, in his artistic career, plays with sexuality. She is able to disguise herself as a man convincingly, but at the same time is able to assume a highly sexualized femininity. This is reflected in the songs of this album, most if not all about love, relationships between men and women a sexuality that is still as incomplete. An inherent lack underlying lyrical frame of the disc. Indeed, one wonders what is this ellipse described by the title track. What it seeks to voluntarily omit this disc actually quite sexual? They are more than three dots that are necessary to mask the concerns of the female unconscious.

Cover Letter For Trainee

Scott Tuma: "Dandelion" (Digitalis, 2010) TOP 2010

I already mentioned Scott Tuma in this blog. I compared his work with that of the soundtrack of "The Hired Hand" by Bruce Langhorne. The comparison was a little thrust, but listening to her new disc, it is only more blatant.

Scott Tuma is a native of Chicago and became known in the country band / Grunge Souled American the early 90s. It appears that this group has had some success but I have no idea the impact of this success. Tuma when I discovered it was an obscure musician more in the long list of gems based in the doldrums of underground music. He also is part of Boxhead Ensemble, a collective improvisation variable geometry with a membership ranging from Jim O'Rourke to Fred Lonberg-Holm , via Glenn Kotche ...

With Tumult label , it is possible to obtain the first four albums Souled American in cd or "Fe," "Flubber," "Around the Horn" and "Sonny." Long out of print vinyl, the Oblique still had until recently a copy vinyl "Around the Horn." Through these four albums, Souled American We offer original compositions but also revisiting many classic country / folk.

So, the latest album by Scott Tuma is intended as a response to the human quest in which he started in the mid 80s. Standing as one man standing in front of adversity, the inner edge of the abyss in which he launches at each of its creations. There is something profoundly intimate compositions Tuma; some sort of lyricism fragile, standing balanced on the sharp edge of a sword of Damocles that threatens to collapse every time on the back of his neck. For it is surely not lose his head, when you start an episode where creative efforts made to address and articulate the melancholy that seems to live without ever wanting to leave. On "Dandelion," Scott Tuma is accompanied by bassist Jason Ajemian , percussionist Mike Weis of Zelionople (and with whom he has plans Good Stuff House) and James Barker. All three have achieved a magnificent work, etheric, which blends banjo, guitar, violin, bells, field recordings .... The play "Red Roses For Me" is particularly successful, especially when manifested the spectrum of a distant saxophone indulging in a free improvisation ... Play percussion Mike Weis is sublime, while resonances of metal and fully support the intangible side of the work. Like a dandelion in late summer, after having offered the man his eye bright yellow colors and green, the flower off and it remains a skeleton. Frail carcass threatening to fly at the slightest gust of wind.

Where stops the vinyl version of this album, the CD version will include halfway piece entitled "intermissions" of more than 20 minutes. Beginning with a long moment of silence to mark the coming end of what would be the album in its entirety, it is broken by what appears to be a English radio program riddled with moments of orchestral music accompanied by generic choirs, such as announcements of an old television. The reception was more or less good, it oscillates between the sound of the airwaves and scratchy sound of prayers can emerge from a distant world who think the sound collage "Ethika Fon Ethica" Album "Click" De Franco Battiato but in much more linear.

Following this "intermission" Tuma resumed her way to work with "Smallpipes 1 2 3". Smallpipes these are actually recordings of the group, either with Jason Ajemian, James Barker, Mike Weis, Kimber and Johnny James Provencher. Very beautiful pieces, the CD version of "Dandelion" offers us by way of taste a possible group project for Scott Tuma. Now we cross our fingers ... For
