Jean Pierre Harris passed away Monday morning, tired of his earthly life, longing for the trip to a beyond which he sincerely believed. His closest friends accumulate in the evocation of John Peter Harris, the diversity of its interests, the breadth of his curiosity to others and the world, its vast culture and endless conversation.

But recognition of spontaneous Nivernais goes naturally to the local scholar - as he liked to describe himself -, the historian, lover the Nièvre and Nevers, fine spirits and testimonies of the past, the narrator of his "little fatherland", anxious to get him out of anonymity, in which time had plunged forgetful, that the figures of Nevers deemed worthy of mention in the interest of its citizens
