NAO Review of the mobilization and negotiation

I) The strike

mobilization unprecedented in the company: 180 to 200 people in the various rallies across France.
Villepinte: about 60 present, co-Villers came, but many have to turn back due to very heavy traffic problems. The office is virtually deserted throughout the morning.
Defense: the weak point of mobilization, twenty. Note significant pressure from managers, many on this site.
Toulouse: 50 people, almost half of the workforce. Cap Gemini colleagues even came to support.
Lyon: another weak point of engagement with just twenty people gathered. Some people worked while expressing strike.
Nantes: about 20 people as well.
Niort: 25 people, more than one third of the workforce.
Grenoble: welcome our two colleagues gathered throughout the morning before the premises of this small site. A number

was difficult to assess without participating in the strike rallies. We can therefore speak of a success in business and profession without union tradition.

Some lessons learned:
1) Anger is strong in the enterprise. Witness also the already high number of signatures on our petition.
2) The management can not help but put pressure on employees. Example: they require the strikers declare the day before. There is nothing to require it (see tips). Several colleagues initially decided to strike, fell face pressure from their small head.
3) The strike on a half-day, combined with the fact that some have felt obliged to declare their choice, has allowed some managers to maintain service, reducing the impact of the strike.
4) For many, these gatherings were an opportunity to discuss their working conditions, get to know sometimes. In short a nice moment.
5) We were aware this morning that the first action would possibly be unable to obtain satisfaction. And many had already called into question the follow-up. Following the day has given them reason, we will have to maintain the pressure.
6) It seems many still have not got the info on the strike in time. Have the reflex, for those who know colleagues as customers, make them follow the info on their box mail client. It is usually this one they look all day.

Tips for the strike
You do not have to declare your intention to strike, or agree to modify your schedule to help maintain continuity of service. It managers to manage with non-striking, if any
You do not you declare a strike. It's your frame to see your absence.

II) Negotiation
Two points for negotiation: the NAO and sharing. Rolf Werner and Nadine Pichelot were present this time. On
NAO, after we have explained again that the situation is very difficult and there is no money, management stuck to its position that no increase for 2010 budget. Better when we explain that it must expect a worsening of departure, she takes it as a threat. As if we had the power to trigger a wave of departures, as we do describe him as a reality.
A novelty, however: we moved, with quite astonishing contortions, the payment of the premium holiday, coupled with a 13th month's payment in twelve monthly installments (but not integration into the wage), in ways that we not seem very clear. In return, management wishes to discuss with the CGT on the complaint it has committed on this point ... to follow.

On the incentive, it moves a little. A new calculation method could allow us still a little touched in 2010. The most problematic is the offer that the standard of EBIT, the easiest to manipulate, is also one that most strongly determines the final outcome may lead it to 0 if we do not improve the situation compared to late May or reduce the effects of other criteria if we are not exceeding 2.5 million in positive.
Given these criteria, the EC refused to comment to give himself more time to study its impact. To us now, at the next negotiation, to obtain an improvement.

We now collectively take stock of the day. The final negotiations on NAO is for July 06. It will probably have to push management to better hear and listen the wrath of its employees.

Keep circulating the info, to sign the petition, please keep us informed of any local development (especially in case of attempts to pressure or sanctions related to the strike).
